Oliva Serie V

My smoking binge continued at the Corona Cigar Company Lounge & Smoke Shop with the Oliva Serie V; also know as the "Ligero Especial". I chose to fire up the Special V Figurado which is an impressive looking smoke that measures 6 x 60.  This smoke was the third phenomenal cigar that I consumed in a three day period, but it was not the last of my smoking binge.

Oliva Special V Figurado is filled with Jalapa Valley Ligero tobacco from Nicaragua. The binder is a Nicaraguan Puro and is wrapped with an oily dark Habano Sun Grown wrapper. This complex smoke is filled with outstanding flavor of coffee, spice and dark chocolate. The Special V Figurado was an easy light and maintained an even burn throughout the night. This is not easy for a cigar in this unique shape; it is a testament to it's craftsmanship. I enjoyed this mammoth smoke until my finger tips caught fire. It was a robust smoke and not for the novice smoker. If you take your time, you will be in for a real treat. This smoke went for well over an hour and a half. The Oliva Special V Figurado did not break the bank either. A box of 24 runs for about $172 or $8 a stick. Well worth every penny!

This is a must try! Just make sure you have plenty of time, good company and a good place to sit. Again, just a wonderful smoke. Voted one of the top cigars of 2007, if you disagree please visit the Monkey Forum at let me know which were your favorite cigars this year.
